So who wants to organize an event?

Drop me a PM and I can try to assist with ideas, etc.

How about a simple meeting of the minds? A simple dinner gathering at a restaurant would be a start.

    A couple relevant events:

    1. Tonight: Oct 27th 6:30pm DebianNYC is hosting a workshop, "What's in a Package". See link for RSVP info: http://wiki.debian.org/DebianNYC/Wor...hatsInAPackage (Ubuntu uses the same packages as Debian)
    2. Next month: Nov 17th. 6:30pm Someone from Canonical will be the guest speaker at NYLUG's monthly meeting. Details will be posted here: http://nylug.org/ in the next couple of weeks. In any case you can RSVP up to the day of the meeting (like 2pm). But to be safe RSVP a little early, in case the meeting fills up.. (The only times I have seen it fill up was on the day of the meeting.
