autoinstall question

I wonder if someone can help me with problem regarding the autoinstall for Ubuntu desktops. I have automatic installation working good with 2 separate user-data files (one for encrypted and one without). Problem is that I need to input an asset tag number in a text file on the computers during the installation process. I tried so many ways and every time the damn script/commands breaks the whole automatic installation. I tried early commands and late commands, nothing works. This can't be a new thing and someone else must have faced this and got it to work.

any ideas on this? You would really make my day if I got this to work.

How have you been trying to insert the text file during the autoinstall process? We need more details please.
