I recently purchased a USB Bluetooth dongle for my laptop so that I could use my Motorola ROKR Bluetooth headphones. The issues I was having was that when I played any sort of audio I would frequently get a "clicking" sound as well as audio and video not syncing which made my headphones pretty much unusable. I had dug through some forums and I first assumed that the issue was with Ubuntu, but I later discovered that the dongle I purchased was Bluetooth 2.1. I swapped out the 2.1 dongle for a Bluetooth 3.0 USB dongle and it works perfectly! No "clicking" problems and A/V stay in sync.

I just figured I'd share the info to potentially save others the time and annoyance.
